Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms apply to your use of pubfileopener.com (the "service"), run by PUB File Opener ("we", "us"). By uploading a file you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What the service does

The service opens Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files and converts them to PDF, PNG and JPG so that you can view and download them.The service is free to use.

2. Your files

You keep all rights to the files you upload. You give us permission to store and process them only to the extent needed to convert them and let you download the result. Files are deleted automatically within60 minutes, as described in our Privacy Policy, so please download anything you want to keep. We do not keep backups.

You must only upload files that you own or have permission to use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights;
  • upload malware or files designed to harm or exploit the service;
  • get around the file size, page and rate limits, for example by automating uploads or using many connections, or try to reach files that are not yours;
  • resell the service or put it behind another product without our written permission.

We may block access for anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Conversion quality

We work hard to reproduce each page faithfully, but Publisher is a complex format and results can differ from the original, especially where the document uses fonts we do not have. When a font is replaced we tell you. Always check the converted file before you rely on it, for example before printing.

5. Prices and payment

The service is currently free and we do not take payments. If we add paid features, we will update these terms and show the price before you pay.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service running at all times but cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free or unchanged. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it.

7. Disclaimer

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $4.99 if you have not paid anything.
